ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലെ തൊടുപുഴ താലൂക്കിലെ കാഞ്ഞിരമറ്റം കരയിൽ തൊടുപുഴയാറിൻ്റെ തീരത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പുരാതന ഹിന്ദു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കാഞ്ഞിരമറ്റം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം.
It is believed that Kanjiramattam Sree Mahadeva Temple is one of the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala and is installed by sage Parasurama dedicated to Lord Shiva. The deity in the temple is depicted as meditating under a KalpaVriksha with his consort Parvati.The Temple is built in Kerala style of architecture. The sub-deities of the temple are Durga, AmrithakalasaSastha, Ganapati, Vanadurga, Naga deities, Sri Mookambika Devi and Rakshass.
കേരളത്തിലെ 108 ശിവക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് കാഞ്ഞിരമറ്റം ശ്രീമഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം എന്നും പരശുരാമൻ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചതാണെന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ തൻ്റെ പത്നി പാർവതിയോടൊപ്പം ഒരു കൽപ്പവൃക്ഷത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നതായി ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കേരളീയ വാസ്തുവിദ്യാ ശൈലിയിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ദുർഗ്ഗ, അമൃതകലശശാസ്താവ്, ഗണപതി, വനദുർഗ്ഗ, നാഗദൈവങ്ങൾ, ശ്രീ മൂകാംബിക ദേവി, രക്ഷസ്സ് എന്നിവയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവതകൾ.
