Thirunelli Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Maha Vishnu on the side of Brahmagiri hill in Kerala, India, near Karnataka border. The temple is one among the 108 Abhimana Kshethram of Vaishnavate tradition. The temple is at an altitude of about 900m in north Wayanad. It is 32 km away from Mananthavady.
ഇന്ത്യയിലെ കർണാടക അതിർത്തിക്കടുത്ത്, കേരളത്തിലെ ബ്രഹ്മഗിരി കുന്നിന്റെ വശത്തുള്ള മഹാവിഷ്ണുവിനുള്ള ഒരു പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് തിരുനെല്ലി ക്ഷേത്രം. വൈഷ്ണവ പാരമ്പര്യത്തിന്റെ 108 അഭിമാന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. വടക്കൻ വയനാട്ടിൽ 900 മീറ്റർ ഉയരത്തിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം. മാനന്തവാടിയിൽ നിന്ന് 32 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരമുണ്ട്.

Historian V. R. Parameswaran Pillai in his book Thirunelli Documents states that this temple was once an integral part of the early recorded history of Kerala.

ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പാപനാശിനി അരുവി (ബ്രഹ്മഗിരി വനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയഭാഗത്ത് നിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിക്കുന്നത്, പുരാതന വൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെയും ഔഷധ സസ്യങ്ങളുടെയും വേരുകൾ, ഇലകൾ, പൂക്കൾ എന്നിവയിലൂടെ ഒഴുകുന്നു.), പഞ്ചതീർത്ഥം എന്നിവയാൽ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു
The temple lies at an altitude of 3000 feets and can be reached by driving through three wild life sanctuaries. Thirunelli Temple can be accessed from Mananthavady or Kalpetta.
