Aryankavu Ayyappan Temple also known as Aryankavu Shastha Temple is one of the famous Sastha or Ayyappa temple in Kollam district of Kerala in India.

The temple idol is believed to have been consecrated by Parashurama.The temple is governed by the Travancore Devaswom Board.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വിഗ്രഹം പരശുരാമൻ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചതാണെന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം. തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം ഭരിക്കുന്നത്.
The name Aryankavu is believed to be derived from the words Aryan which indicates Shasta and Kavu which means sacred grove. Just like in Sabarimala, women from the age 10 to 50 are not allowed inside the Aryankavu Ayyappa Temple
ശാസ്താവിനെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ആര്യൻ എന്ന വാക്കിൽ നിന്നും വിശുദ്ധ തോട് എന്നർത്ഥം വരുന്ന കാവ് എന്ന പദത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് ആര്യങ്കാവ് എന്ന പേര് ഉണ്ടായതെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ശബരിമലയിലെന്നപോലെ 10 മുതൽ 50 വയസ്സുവരെയുള്ള സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് ആര്യങ്കാവ് അയ്യപ്പക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രവേശനമില്ല.
Aryankavu Ayyappan Temple is located in Aryankavu in the tehsil of Punalur in Kollam district. The temple lies near the border of Tamil Nadu on National Highway 744, about 73 km from Kollam, 33 km from Punalur and 21 km from Tenkasi. The temple is built in the traditional architectural styles of both Kerala and Tamil Nadu. As in Sabarimala, Aryankavu Ayyappan Temple also have 18 steps.
കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പുനലൂരിലെ ആര്യങ്കാവിലാണ് ആര്യങ്കാവ് അയ്യപ്പൻ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ദേശീയ പാത 744-ൽ തമിഴ്‌നാടിന്റെ അതിർത്തിയോട് ചേർന്ന് കൊല്ലത്ത് നിന്ന് 73 കിലോമീറ്ററും പുനലൂരിൽ നിന്ന് 33 കിലോമീറ്ററും തെങ്കാശിയിൽ നിന്ന് 21 കിലോമീറ്ററും അകലെയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം. കേരളത്തിലെയും തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെയും പരമ്പരാഗത വാസ്തുവിദ്യാ ശൈലിയിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ശബരിമലയിലെ പോലെ ആര്യങ്കാവ് അയ്യപ്പൻ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലും 18 പടികൾ ഉണ്ട്.
The main deity of the temple is Shasta, in the form of a teenager. The deity is locally known as Aryankavu Ayyan and Tiruaryan. He is depicted in a seated posture on an elephant, with the right leg hanging and the left leg in a folded position, along with Pushkala on the left side and Shiva on the right.
കൗമാരക്കാരന്റെ രൂപത്തിലുള്ള ശാസ്താവാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. ആര്യങ്കാവ് അയ്യൻ എന്നും തിരു ആര്യൻ എന്നും ഈ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ പ്രാദേശികമായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇടതുവശത്ത് പുഷ്കലയും വലതുവശത്ത് ശിവനുമൊപ്പം വലത് കാൽ തൂങ്ങിയും ഇടതുകാൽ മടക്കിയ നിലയിലും ആനപ്പുറത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഭാവത്തിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
