Evoor Major Sree Krishna Swamy Temple is a Krishna temple in Onattukara Evoor near Haripad, in Alappuzha, Kerala. It is said to have originated five millennium ago following Khandava Dahanam. Temple in its current form is built by Moolam Thirunal.
ഏവൂർ മേജർ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം കേരളത്തിലെ ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ ഹരിപ്പാടിനടുത്ത് ഏവൂരിലുള്ള ഒരു ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. അഞ്ച് സഹസ്രാബ്ദങ്ങൾക്കുമുമ്പ് ഖാണ്ഡവദഹനത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ഇത് ഉത്ഭവിച്ചതായി പറയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇന്നത്തെ രൂപത്തിലുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമ്മിച്ചത് മൂലം തിരുനാൾ ആണ്.
Evoor Bhagavan Deity is the unique Sri Krishna Prayoga Chakra Prathishta. The idol of Sri Krishna is in the four armed Vishnu form with Panchajanya Shankha, Sudarshana Chakra and butter in three hands and the fourth arm held on hip. The deity is furious form and Raktha-pushpanjali is a special offering here which is unavailable in Vishnu temples elsewhere.
ഏവൂർ ഭഗവാൻ അദ്വിതീയമായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ പ്രയോഗ ചക്ര പ്രതിഷ്ഠയാണ്. പാഞ്ചജന്യ ശംഖം, സുദർശന ചക്രം, വെണ്ണ എന്നിവ മൂന്ന് കൈകളിലും നാലാമത്തെ ഭുജവും ഇടുപ്പിൽ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നാല് ആയുധങ്ങളുള്ള വിഷ്ണു രൂപത്തിലാണ് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ വിഗ്രഹം. പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ഉഗ്രമായ രൂപമാണ്, മറ്റിടങ്ങളിലെ വിഷ്ണു ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ലഭ്യമല്ലാത്ത ഒരു പ്രത്യേക വഴിപാടാണ് രക്തപുഷ്പാഞ്ജലി.
Sub Deity: Sreebhoothanatha Swamy (Siva). Shiva as sub-deity in a Vaishanava Temple is rarest and only seen in Evoor Temple.
ഉപദേവത: ശ്രീഭൂതനാഥ സ്വാമി (ശിവൻ). വൈഷ്ണവ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവനായി ശിവൻ അപൂർവവും ഏവൂർ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ മാത്രമേ കാണപ്പെടുന്നുള്ളൂ.

Makara Utsav in Evoor temple starts on first day of makara and continues for ten days. The ulsava begins with the hosting of Garuda printed flag. Other Festival is Krishna Janmashtami
