Dakshineswar Kali Temple or Dakshineswar Kalibari is a Hindu navaratna temple in Dakshineswar, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, the presiding deity of the temple is Bhavatarini, a form of Parashakti Adya Kali, otherwise known as Adishakti Kalika
ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പശ്ചിമ ബംഗാളിലെ കൊൽക്കത്തയിലെ ദക്ഷിണേശ്വറിലെ ഒരു ഹിന്ദു നവരത്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ദക്ഷിണേശ്വര് കാളി ക്ഷേത്രം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ദക്ഷിണേശ്വര് കാളിബാരി. ഹൂഗ്ലി നദിയുടെ കിഴക്കൻ തീരത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ മുഖ്യപ്രതിഷ്ഠ പരാശക്തി ആദ്യ കാളിയുടെ രൂപമായ ഭവതാരിണിയാണ്, ആദിശക്തി കാളിക എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
The famous Dakshineswar temple which houses the Goddess Kali was founded by Rani Rashmoni following a dream she saw when she was about to start on her pilgrimage to Benaras. A long term plan of the Rani materialized which she had longed to perform when her husband died with unfulfilled wish of constructing a Kali temple.
ബെനാറസിലേക്കുള്ള തീർത്ഥാടനത്തിന് പോകാനൊരുങ്ങുമ്പോൾ കണ്ട സ്വപ്നത്തെ തുടർന്ന് റാണി രശ്‌മോണി സ്ഥാപിച്ചതാണ് കാളി ദേവിയെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന പ്രശസ്തമായ ദക്ഷിണേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രം. ഒരു കാളി ക്ഷേത്രം പണിയണമെന്ന ആഗ്രഹം പൂർത്തീകരിക്കാതെ ഭർത്താവ് മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ റാണിയുടെ ദീർഘകാല പദ്ധതി യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമായി
The idols of the Gods and the Goddess was decided to be installed on the snana-yatra day, an auspicious days of the Hindus. 31st May 1855, more than 1 lakh Brahmins were invited from different parts of the country to grace the auspicious occasion amidst the controversy of the Rani being in no position to own a temple and to offer Brahmins to feed since she was of low birth.
ഹിന്ദുക്കളുടെ പുണ്യദിനമായ സ്നാനയാത്രാ ദിനത്തിൽ ദേവന്മാരുടെയും ദേവിയുടെയും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. 1855 മെയ് 31 ന്, റാണിക്ക് ക്ഷേത്രം കൈവശം വയ്ക്കാനും ബ്രാഹ്മണർക്ക് ഭക്ഷണം നൽകാനും അവകാശമില്ല എന്ന വിവാദത്തിനിടയിൽ, രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം ബ്രാഹ്മണരെ ഈ ചടങ്ങിന് ക്ഷണിച്ചു.
