Thiru Nayathode Siva Narayana Temple is located at Nayathod, a small village in Ernakulam District, Kerala, India. The temple is located at about 3 km from Cochin International Airport. This temple is a protected monument by Archeological Department, Kerala.
കേരളത്തിലെ എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ നായത്തോട് എന്ന ചെറിയ ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ് തിരു നായത്തോട് ശിവ നാരായണ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. കൊച്ചി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം. കേരളത്തിലെ പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പിൻ്റെ സംരക്ഷിത സ്മാരകമാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം.
The deities at this temple are Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.

Sivanarayana temple pertained to the 11th - 12th century C.E. is of Vritha Vimana. Besides Sreekovil there are Namaskaramandapam, Valiyambalam, Nalambalam, Gopurams at the Eastern and Western entrances, Agrasala (Oottupura), two-storeyed Devaswom malika, and an old well inside the temple complex. There is an old compound wall built of laterite surrounding the entire temple complex.
11-12 നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളിലുള്ള ശിവനാരായണ ക്ഷേത്രം വൃത്തവിമാനമാണ്. ശ്രീകോവിലിനു പുറമേ നമസ്‌കാരമണ്ഡപം, വലിയമ്പലം, നാലമ്പലം, കിഴക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും കവാടങ്ങളിൽ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾ, അഗ്രശാല (ഊട്ടുപുര), ഇരുനില ദേവസ്വം മാളിക, ക്ഷേത്രസമുച്ചയത്തിനുള്ളിൽ ഒരു പഴയ കിണർ എന്നിവയുണ്ട്. ക്ഷേത്ര സമുച്ചയത്തിന് ചുറ്റും ലാറ്ററൈറ്റ് കൊണ്ട് നിർമ്മിച്ച ഒരു പഴയ ചുറ്റുമതിലുണ്ട്.
The Adhishtana of the Srikovil and walls are made of granite and the walls are coated with plaster and beautified with murals. The Dwarapalakas of this Sandhara temple seen on all four sides of the Srekovil is carved out of stone. Its roof is covered with copper sheets. The Sreekovil has a Siva linga facing the East. In front of it there set the figures of Siva and Vishnu on a Peeda. Separate offerings are there for these deities. This unitary type temple lacks subsidiary shrines.
ശ്രീകോവിലിലെ അധിഷ്‌ഠാനവും ഭിത്തിയും കരിങ്കല്ലിൽ തീർത്തതും ചുവരുകൾ പ്ലാസ്റ്റർ പൂശിയും ചുമർചിത്രങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് മനോഹരമാക്കിയതുമാണ്. ശ്രീകോവിലിൻ്റെ നാല് വശത്തും കാണുന്ന ഈ സന്ധാര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ദ്വാരപാലകങ്ങൾ കല്ലിൽ കൊത്തിയെടുത്തതാണ്. അതിൻ്റെ മേൽക്കൂര ചെമ്പ് ഷീറ്റുകൾ കൊണ്ട് മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ശ്രീകോവിലിൽ കിഴക്കോട്ട് അഭിമുഖമായി ഒരു ശിവലിംഗമുണ്ട്. അതിനു മുന്നിൽ ശിവൻ്റെയും വിഷ്ണുവിൻ്റെയും രൂപങ്ങൾ പീഠത്തിൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. ഈ ദേവതകൾക്ക് പ്രത്യേകം വഴിപാടുകൾ ഉണ്ട്. ഏകീകൃത രീതിയിലുള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് ഉപദേവാലയങ്ങൾ ഇല്ല.
Its Pranala supported by a Gana figure is set in the Kantha. The square-shaped Ardhamandapa of Sivanarayana Temple is decorated with Navagraha sculptures engraved on the ceiling. The murals on the wall of the Srikovil are scientifically conserved by the Department of Archaeology. The Srikovil along with the Eastern Gopuram (gateway) and the compound wall have conserved by the Department in 2003. The temple is now under the administration of the Temple Trust.
ഒരു ഗണരൂപം പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്ന അതിൻ്റെ പ്രണാലം കാന്തയിൽ സജ്ജീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശിവനാരായണ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൻ്റെ ചതുരാകൃതിയിലുള്ള അർദ്ധമണ്ഡപം മേൽക്കൂരയിൽ കൊത്തിവച്ച നവഗ്രഹ ശിൽപങ്ങളാൽ അലങ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശ്രീകോവിലിൻ്റെ ഭിത്തിയിലെ ചുമർചിത്രങ്ങൾ പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പ് ശാസ്ത്രീയമായി സംരക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശ്രീകോവിലിനൊപ്പം കിഴക്കൻ ഗോപുരവും (കവാടവും) മതിലും 2003-ൽ വകുപ്പ് സംരക്ഷിച്ചു. ക്ഷേത്രം ഇപ്പോൾ ക്ഷേത്ര ട്രസ്റ്റിൻ്റെ ഭരണത്തിൻ കീഴിലാണ്.
